Passionfruit Margarita

The weather’s warming up... celebrate with a Margarita that looks fancy, tastes like summer, but is ridiculously easy to make.

Meet the Passionfruit Margarita — a juicy little twist on the classic, with reposado tequila, fresh lime and passionfruit bringing the tropical fun. Tart, slightly sweet and dangerously drinkable. Consider yourself warned.

RECIPE (SERVES 1)

INGREDIENTS

  • ½ fresh passionfruit

  • 45ml reposado tequila

  • 22.5ml triple sec (Cointreau works beautifully)

  • 22.5ml fresh lime juice

  • 7.5ml agave syrup

  • Ice

  • To garnish: fine sea salt + lime wedge for the rim

 METHOD

  1. Run a lime wedge around the rim of a chilled coupe or margarita glass, then dip the rim into a small plate of fine sea salt. Set aside.

  2. Scoop the passionfruit pulp into a cocktail shaker.

  3. Add tequila, triple sec, fresh lime juice and agave syrup.

  4. Fill generously with ice and shake hard for 10–15 seconds until beautifully chilled.

  5. Fine strain into your salt-rimmed glass. Admire briefly. Then drink.
